Graduating in 2013 from the Ballarat Arts Academy in Victoria, Australia with a degree in Musical Theatre, Hilary has worked extensively in Melbourne theatre as an actor, singer, theatre-maker and costume designer.
Her work as a performer ranges from children’s theatre, cabaret festivals, major musicals and concerts. She has performed at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Spirituous Festival and Midsumma Festival.
Prior to graduating from RMIT University with an Associate Degree in Fashion Design and Technology in 2018, Hilary has worked as a designer and dressmaker in theatre as a wardrobe assistant and costume designer for medium scale musicals and plays and for cabaret performing artists.
Whilst living in Berlin Hilary interned for Berlin Fashion designers Dawid Tomaszeswski and Brachmann and later based in London Hilary was a backstage tailor for London Fashion designer Edward Crutchley for London Fashion Week Shows SS22 and AW23.
Hilary has trained with SITI Company and Anne Bogart as part of the companies final Skidmore 2022 Summer Intensive in Viewpoints and Suzuki training.
In the United Kingdom, Hilary has continued her exploration of Mary Overlie’s Six Viewpoint training attending workshops hosted by London Performance Studio’s and facilitated by Valerie McCann.
In 2023 Hilary attended a Six Viewpoint’s Intensive Workshop in New York facilitated by Deborah Black and Sophia Treanor as part of her ongoing artist development.
